Flights Resume After Global Outage
Airlines Resume Flights
After a tech outage disrupted travel around the world, airlines have resumed flights on Friday morning, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Ground Stop Lifted
The FAA lifted the ground stop order at 9:07 a.m. ET, allowing flights to resume. The order had been in effect since 6:30 a.m. ET.
The outage affected NOTAMs, or Notices to Air Missions, which provide vital information to pilots about potential hazards along their flight paths.
The cause of the outage is still under investigation.
