The 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix, officially known as the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024, was the opening round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship. It took place at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain, on March 2, 2024.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen claimed his third pole position in Bahrain after a thrilling qualifying session, with a time of 1:30.577. Charles Leclerc, last year's pole-sitter, had a late spin on his final lap, resulting in a second-place start for Ferrari.
Verstappen maintained his lead at the start of the race and controlled the pace throughout, with Leclerc and Sergio Perez following in second and third respectively. The Dutchman took the race win, securing his first victory of the 2024 season and leading Red Bull to a 1-2 finish. Leclerc finished second, with Perez completing the podium.
